DISSERTATION RESEARCH

My current research under Dr. Lindsey Swierk is focused on Anolis aquaticus, a small, semi-aquatic lizard found in the rainforest streams of Costa Rica and Panama. These lizards jump into the water when threatened and are able to spend extended amounts of time underwater thanks to the bubble they form over their nares that they breathe in and out during their underwater stints.

UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH

While earning my B.S. in Biology at Fairfield University, I researched captive giant anteaters at Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo under Dr. S. Ashley Byun. My focus was on reproductive behaviors, specifically mating behaviors and pup-rearing behaviors.
